Avi Roop is a seasoned medical device entrepreneur with ten years of large-cap medical device and ten years of medical device startup experience that included three exits. He served as an Engineer at Vascular Science, which was sold to St. Jude Medical in 1999. Avi also served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Tarsus Medical—sold to Integra LifeSciences in 2013—as well as General Manager at Raptor Surgical, sold to Stryker Orthopaedics in 2015. Avi also served as a Fellow in the Stanford Biodesign Fellowship, and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, as well as an MBA from the Berkeley Haas School of Business. Avi is named on twenty-five issued US patents as well as eleven issued international patents.
CTO and Co-Founder
Chris Pell has seven years of experience developing new products in a startup environment, primarily in the medical device field. He has held key technical roles developing a wide range of new products including interactive education technologies, an innovative bicycle lighting system, small extremity orthopedic implants and a portable light therapy system. Chris holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California Santa Barbara, as well as an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
